Land Acknowledgement
OFF SEASON acknowledges that we operate on Kawehnóhkwes tsi kawè:note (phonetically – ga-way-no-gwess ge ga-way-no-day, translating from Mohawk to “Long Island Standing”), the traditional hunting grounds of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte. We acknowledge that the surrounding region has a long history of Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat stewardship and knowledge exchange. We honour the past, present, and future legacies of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit from across Turtle Island and affirm that all are welcome in our shared space.
